I spent this Sunday at Revere Beach; it was my first time going there and I completely fell in love. The beach stretches for miles and miles, and there's people on more-or-less every square inch of it. There's arcades and restaurants (and a T stop!) as well as plenty of ice cream places too. It's such a nice change from Plum Island or Crane Beach, which are my family's usual choices. It reminded me of UK seaside towns like Scarborough: full of life, fun, and noise.
The super wide sidewalk also gave me a chance to practice my penny boarding. I bought my board from the San Jose flea market last summer, but because of an injured ankle this was my first time getting it out this year. It always makes me feel so ridiculous at first, but it's obscenely fun and I can fit it into my backpack.
I never really realized I had freckles on my shoulder until seeing this picture, and it made me feel like Jenny from the Walk the Moon song... also I realized how badly I need a haircut.
I usually can't stand soda but after walking two miles in 95 degree heat, I could've downed anything.
I'm finally coming to love my chubby baby cheeks.
This was the point where I finally realized my dad was taking pictures of me.
This apartment complex was basically all of my aesthetic goals.
One of the best things about Revere Beach is seeing all the planes coming in to land at Logan Airport. I love imaging all the stories of the people on each flight.
My aforementioned penny board, with a Santa Cruz sticker (from the actual Santa Cruz!) to cover up the fact that it's a cheap knockoff.
I took this after I finished my ice cream - black raspberry, of course. I wish I could've gotten a picture of it, but I was melting faster than I could even eat it.
I had the perfect Sunday, and I can't wait to go back soon.
